When I started Storytime Yoga® for Kids in 2003, I envisioned little cartoon characters that would be able to narrate wisdom stories to guide children not just in physical yoga asana, but with guides for life and emotional health.

Artist Susannah Pels, who is the wife of dear friend and fellow yoga therapy trainee Dennis Tenney back in Boulder, drew a few of them for me.

Zippy the elephant, who resembles Ganesha, made it onto the cover of Storytime Yoga®: Teaching Yoga to Children Through Story.

Chango, the monkey, who is like Hanuman, makes his debut here after all these years.

I spread Storytime Yoga® wide and far... giving the first kids yoga online training that reached thousands around the globe to spread yoga and story. Including my Spanish version, Yoga Con Cuentos, published in 2010.

I gave away lots of free copies and Ebooks while living in Buenos Aires. I'm glad it made it to Brazil, with Yoga Com Historias, achieving what I envisioned.

I'm so deeply satisfied that my work has diffused across the globe in so many ways and that the joy, peace and healing of yoga and stories are reaching children and families everywhere.

Tell stories. Teach yoga. and you just know that there will be Peace, for the children!
