Kids Yoga Pose: The Twisted Squid

Kids! Here's a fun yoga pose that is great for your shoulders, dexterity, spine and low back! Become a Twisted Squid! Make up a story to go with your yoga pose!

Lie on your left side with left arm over head in Vishnu's Couch pose.

Bring your right leg behind you.

Twist at the waist and bring yourself up on your hands while leaving your legs where they are. Engage your core muscles.

Lower your forearms down into Sphinx pose.

Make sure your elbows are aligned with your shoulders.

Now cross your arms at the elbows.

Smile! Your Twisted Squid pose is complete! Feel your inner squid and enjoy the physical benefits! Make up a story about a squid to go with the pose!
