Teach English and English as a Second Language with Kamishibai Storytelling

Kamishibai, Japanese paper theatre, is a great way to introduce visuals with storytelling, while still maintaining a direct connection to kids with the oral tradition. I created six Kids Yoga Story Kits using kamishibai to teach with, using folktales from around the world. I’ve also taught English as a Second Language with the pictures and oral tradition around the world: Argentina, Uruguay, Cambodia, Japan. Kids can even learn to make their own kamishibai. I’ve been a member of  the International Kamishibai Association of Japan since 2017, performing at the first World Kamishibai Day for Peace in Tokyo. I still visit Japan where I did a Kamishibai for Peace exchange in Tokyo to help teachers and students cope in an increasingly challenging world.  Let’s get started!
