Well, the kids and I had a nice vacation in Telluride this week. Despite all the natural elements around them they prefer to hang out by the pool and just relax. Can't blame them and I don't push them into anything anymore. No projections!
But I drove 90 mph back home, stopping only twice in 6 and a half hours. And now it's back to work and focusing on upcoming events. The kids missed their Opa so they are spending two days there while I do my Samadhi Yoga Hindu Deities workshop tomorrow. I love to review the materials and see just how myths, images and story can help us connect to the inner world and recognize the divine within us. Our focus is so much on the outer world, identifying with external objects and projections and storylines of our own memory and parental complexes. To get clear of all that, and yet have mythic guides to give us glimpses of what the eternal within us is really like. So we will be exploring Hindu Myths and Deities from Ganesha to the Goddesses and how they have relevance in our lives today. And following that it's off to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota to teach the youth there. I had been researching some Lakota culture, storytelling and cosmology, but that's for another post!
