Good stuff comes out of the darkness. After my sister died last December, it brought some deep introspection about what matters in life. I took time off from work to slow down, enjoy my family, practice lots of yoga and enjoy my garden and live sustainably on St. Croix. In processing my grief, I finally was able to write a short memoir about my husband's suicide, produced a body of artwork and had my first one-woman show at an art gallery here. Sold six pieces! I've been making up batches of coconut milk, juices, pesto, barbecue sauce, herb teas and more right out of the backyard garden. I've also been on a health kick to boost my immunity system and cleanse my liver to rid myself of mild cervical dysplasia, so I stopped drinking alcohol and started attending Adult Children of Alcoholics meetings (My parents were not alcoholics, just really REALLY nuts.) Since I've abstained from alcohol, I swear I've gained psychic powers, have so much energy, rise before dawn each day to practice yoga, and my children and I have never been happier! My daughter has triumphed over long-term special ed issues and got an 80% on her math test. Yes! My son is flourishing in high school. I've achieved my dream of having a little yoga farm! Doesn't get better than this for me. Birth and light does come out of the darkness! It can for you too!

My renaissance also produced a new format for Storytime Yoga that puts my former journalism career to good use! I'm excited to introduce the Storytime Yoga Online Magazine, featuring my articles and ideas from 12-years experience in teaching kids through yoga and story. I'm proud to unveil the incredible talent of numerous Certified Storytime Yoga Teachers, many of them long-time associates. They are writing many articles ranging from teaching in the library, home or therapy session, as well as combining Storytime Yoga with art, music and more! As always, my family and personal health and yoga practice comes first, and this is such a great outlet for me to write about the trials and joys of parenting with yoga as your guide! I've received such wonderful emails about Storytime Yoga from around the globe. I am so humbled and glad, for it is my highest joy to be of service to all. There is no greater satisfaction! I do it for the children as I am driven by myth, never profit! I am so grateful! I am so joyful! So on with the show!

LEARN AND PLAY THE STORYTIME YOGA WAY! Featured in the magazine currently are activities for World Food Day, including a new story from Africa I've retold called Anansi's Hunger to raise kids' awareness about the food they eat as part of my new Eat, Learn, Tell series! Food is so amazing! Nature is so amazing! I've been obsessed with it living here on top of it here in St. Croix! It's a profound healing experience and I hope you can share in it with the stories. More goody content to come!

Truly I have heard the call, taken the risk and followed the thread to descend and now return. I am grateful, overjoyed and happy to continue in the art of storytelling with yoga to share with our dear precious children its profound and healing effects. I hope you do too!

ENJOY!
PEACE TO THE WORLD'S CHILDREN!
